IACP Technology Clearinghouse

June 26th, 2009 Posted in 123 Triad

The Technology Clearinghouse, established in 1997 through a cooperative agreement between the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), quickly evolved to become the exclusive resource for objective law enforcement automated data collection and information management technology.

The Technology Clearinghouse was originally proposed to be a restricted access subscription based Bulletin Board Service (BBS) technology, but instead became the first law enforcement information technology resource center available openly through the World Wide Web. Today the website receives over 3.6 million hits each year.
